Arriving in Stuttgart
To get from the Stuttgart Airport to the city centre follow the sign 
for the underground S-Bahn, and take either the S2 or S3 towards the main station ("Stuttgart HauptbahnHof/Arnulf Klett Platz", direction Schorndorf or Backnang).
If you show a copy of the "confirmation and welcome" mail (from Arndt Riester) at the Welcome Information Center in the Arrivals area in Terminal 3 at the airport, you can purchase a 3-Day-Ticket at reduced price (EUR 9,90) for public transportation in Stuttgart. The 3-Day-Ticket is valid in S-Bahn, trams (U-Bahn) and busses.
If you do not want to buy the 3-Day-Ticket, you will need a ticket for three zones, which you can get at the ticket machines at EUR 3,10. The timetable of the S-Bahn can be found here. More information about the airport can be found on the Stuttgart Airport website.
A taxi from Stuttgart Airport to Stuttgart Centre costs around EUR 27-30.
The main station is located in the city centre, less than 10 minutes walking distance from the venue of the conference. The aforementioned 3-Day-Ticket can be purchased at the tourism information booth "i-Punkt", which you'll find in Königstr. 1A, just across the street from the main station. The 3-Da<-Tickets are also available at numerous hotels, inns and guest houses.
Venues
The conference will take place in the K1 and K2 buildings in the Keplerstrasse 11 (green placemark on the map).
The reception will take place in the town hall in the Marktplatz 1 (red placemark on the map)
The conference dinner will be at the Murrhardter Hof, Wilhelmsplatz 6 (blue placemark on the map)
The warming up will be at the Rote Kappelle, Feuerseeplatz 14 (turquoise placemark on the map)
